At Kawing Ivy Prep, we specialize in personalized, one-on-one tutoring tailored to each student's unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. Our highly dedicated and thoroughly vetted team of tutors works collaboratively to provide support across a wide range of subjects, including math, reading, science, and test preparation for the SAT and ACT. Whether building foundational skills, improving grades, or preparing for college, Kawing Ivy Prep offers flexible scheduling and a supportive, results-driven environment. We are committed to empowering students with the tools and confidence they need to excel academically and beyond.
Kawing Ivy Prep was founded by Caroline Gathagu, an accomplished educator with a passion for helping students unlock their potential and achieve their academic goals. Caroline’s journey began as a volunteer tutor for adults preparing to earn their GED, an experience that ignited her love for teaching and set the foundation for her tutoring career. With a degree in Business Administration from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, where she graduated summa cum laude, and a background in cognitive skills training, Caroline is currently a Consultant with Atlanta Public Schools, and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her personalized teaching approach. Her method combines empathy, observational insight, and solution-oriented strategies to help students connect new information to existing knowledge, building confidence and long-term success.
